Since then the ESOL team at Bradford College has fully embraced the transformation of their immersive classroom spaces, demonstrating their innovative approach to enhancing student skills. They have curated captivating underwater experiences that transport students to vibrant ocean environments, as well as simulated virtual job interviews that effectively prepare them for real-world scenarios. To top off the year, ESOL students took part in immersive reading sessions and an exhilarating haunted escape room experience, expertly orchestrated by the library team.
By progressing through the i-Transform training program, educators at Bradford College are pushing boundaries and delving into innovative ways to enhance their students' learning journey through technology.
ESOL students were given the opportunity to dive into the immersive classroom space, where they engaged in a session utilising content from Metaverse Learning, allowing them to hone their job interview skills in a lifelike setting. This experience not only enhanced their language proficiency but also bolstered their confidence and employability prospects.
The students at Bradford College also embarked on an immersive journey through the depths of the oceans from their Immersive Classroom. Surrounded by vibrant underwater environments, the students were mesmerised by the sea life and actively participated in discussions about conservation and environmental threats. This experience left them feeling eager and inspired to make a positive impact.
The library team at Bradford College hosted an exceptional final reading session to finish the year off they created an escape room activity with a group of 16-18 ESOL students from their immersive classroom. Their creative utilisation of the space resulted in an engaging, fun, and captivating experience for the students. A huge congratulations to the innovative library team for consistently pushing boundaries and crafting unforgettable learning moments.
Robert Bailey, the Digital Learning Manager, and Muhammad-Ismaeel (Ish) Mirza, the Digital Learning Technologist, from the i-Transform team, were thrilled to kick off day 1 of the i-Transform XR programme at Bradford College alongside their colleagues from USP College.
The comprehensive training programme, condenses the standard iTransform training, focusing on key areas to equip users with the knowledge to leverage VR's potential in education and create immersive learning experiences within their Immersive Classroom Ultra installed in April 2024.
The first day of training delved into captivating subjects like the integration of VR in education, mastering the ClassView Platform, utilising interactive whiteboards with Miro, and personalising learning experiences with VR Campus.
The transformation of a traditional learning space into an immersive classroom at Bradford College took just 10 days, marking a significant milestone as they join the growing ClassView Community! This cutting-edge Immersive Classroom is complemented by sleek LED lighting, which adds a perfect finishing touch to this innovative space.
